The family of late Emeke Chukwuka, indigenes of Alijemisi, Alisimie, Agbor in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, has vowed to seek revenge for the mysterious death of their son in the Libyan desert.
In an interview with Ika Weekly, Emeke’s elder brother, Mr. Sammy Chukwuka, accused his friend, Mr. Frank Lucky Eluemunor, of being responsible for Emeke’s death. He recounted, “My younger brother left Nigeria with Eluemunor in June 2016 in search of a better life. While we were eagerly awaiting good news of his arrival, we instead received a phone call informing us of his death in the Libyan desert.”
According to Mr Chukwuka, the family’s life has been shattered since they received the news. He lamented, “The worst part is that his body was reportedly left in the desert to be consumed by wild animals, denying him a proper burial.”
He continued to express his anger towards the Eluemunor family, stating, “They will not know peace, as their son, Frank Lucky Eluemunor, whom we suspect conspired to kill my brother, has yet to admit any involvement in his death. My brother Emeke cannot have died this way, and we will not allow it to go unchallenged.”
Mr Sammy Chukwuka emphasised that revenge is their only answer. He stated that his family is patiently waiting for Frank Lucky Eluemunor to return, suggesting he would “join my brother in the land of the dead.”
He concluded by further accusing Frank Lucky Eluemunor of using Emeke for human trafficking, specifically connected to the illegal sale of body organs, which they believe led to his death.
Following Mr Sammy Chukwuka’s complaint lodged at the Agbor Division of the Nigerian Police, Frank Lucky Eluemunor has been declared wanted for murder.
