Members of the Delta State Anti-Cult, Owa Division have passionately appealed to government, relevant stakeholders, including individuals and groups to support them in their resolve to help fight against crime in Ika Land.
The community based security group in an appeal for support message through its Vice-Chairman, Mr Ernest Njoagwuali noted that they have no functional patrol vehicle, no relevant materials to work with such as torch lights, security gadgets, uniform, and above all, no monthly stipend or remuneration.
He disclosed that they have been strongly committed in their duties, but complained that they are yet to get any meaningful support from anywhere.
He added that while they parade everywhere. in Boji-Boji metropolis, including bushes in Ika Land in search of hideouts of criminals, they pay additional task by funding every security assignment they carried out, a development which according to him has weighed them down.
The security group therefore, appealed to the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the local government Chairmen in Ika Land, State Assembly members, Commissioners, other well meaning individuals and groups to support them in their fight against crime in the area as effective security can only be achieved through collective efforts.
