The Ika North East Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comr. Lucky Ehiobu, has extolled the Ika North East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Monday Hunkamma Odigwe, over the commissioning of the newly completed Ebu-Owa Motor Park and Upper Efeizomor Street in Owa metropolis, Delta State.
The commissioning ceremony, held on July 19, 2025, was presided over by Delta State’s Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Sir Monday Onyeme and attended by prominent government officials, including Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the immediate past Governor of Delta State, and HRM (Dr.) Emmanuel O. Efeizomor II, JP, OON, the Obi of Owa Kingdom.
Speaking with journalists immediately after the commissioning, Comr. Ehiobu praised the project, saying, “This is not just a project, it’s a legacy that has brought beauty, orderliness, and functionality to the transport system in Boji-Boji Owa.”

He added that the NYCN, Ika North East Chapter, was proud of their Council Chairman for this commendable feat, noting that as a body, they will support the legacies of the Council Boss and ensure every completed project in the area is sustained and maintained.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor of the state, Sir Monday Onyeme, in his remarks while commissioning the project, described it as one of best in the state, saying that “aesthetics, structure and functionality of the new motor park is a model for other LGAs to emulate.
In his remarks, the former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, commended the Council Chairman for delivering people-oriented projects within a short period of time, assuring the Council Chairman of his continuous support in advancing the LGA to enviable heights.
Other notable dignitaries at the event were: Hon. (Mrs.) Marilyn Okowa-Daramola, member representing Ika North East at the Delta State House of Assembly; Hon. (Engr.) Jerry Ehiwarior, the Ika South Local Government counterpart, amongst others.
