In a bid to strengthen the grassroots foundation of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the party’s 2023 House of Assembly Candidate for Ika South Constituency and prominent leader in both Ika South and Delta State, Hon. Uche Ujeboh, paid a strategic visit to executive members of Wards 4 and 5 in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The interactive session, held on Monday, July 28, 2025, was aimed at fostering unity, building momentum ahead of future elections, and strategizing for the sustainable growth of the party’s structure across the local government.
Hon. Ujeboh, who was accompanied by the ADC LGA Chairman and other notable stakeholders, expressed deep appreciation to the ward executives for their tireless commitment and loyalty to the party, even in challenging times. He noted that party growth must begin from the bottom up—starting with the ward level.
“Our strength lies in the grassroots. If we want to win elections and gain the trust of our people, we must begin by building strong and well-organized ward structures. That’s why I’m here—to listen, to encourage, and to work with you toward that goal,” Hon. Ujeboh said passionately.
He emphasized the importance of unity and continuous mobilization at the community level, adding that the ADC is positioning itself as a credible alternative in Delta State politics, and that success can only be achieved through collaboration and dedication.
During the engagement, issues ranging from voter education, membership drives, internal communication, and strategic planning were discussed. Hon. Ujeboh also encouraged the ward leaders to be proactive in identifying capable individuals within their communities who can be groomed into future leaders.
The ADC LGA Chairman, who accompanied Hon. Ujeboh on the visit, also took time to appreciate the ward executives, describing them as the engine room of the party. He affirmed that their contributions would not go unnoticed as the party gears up for a more formidable structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
In response, the executives of Ward 4 and Ward 5 expressed gratitude for the visit and pledged their unflinching support for the party’s ideals and growth agenda. They commended Hon. Ujeboh for his consistent humility, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development.
The meeting ended on a hopeful note, with all attendees reaffirming their resolve to build a more visible, united, and people-oriented ADC in Ika South.
