School resumption: Marilyn distributes school bags, books, writing materials to schools in Ika North East

Following the resumption of a new academic session in primary and secondary schools in Delta State, the Member representing Ika North East Local Government Area at the Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee, on Appropriation, Hon. (Mrs) Marilyn Okowa-Daramola has distributed over one thousand school bags packages to pupils in different primary schools in her Constituency.

Each of the school bags package contained notebooks, textbooks, pencils, erasers and other writing materials.
Schools visited by the Lawmaker were: Alasi Primary School, Boji- Boji, Owa, Ngala Primary School, Boji- Boji, Owa, Obisi Primary School, Owa-Oyibu, Diagbor Primary School, Owerre -Olubor, Isienu Primary School, Owerre – Olubor, Anwufa Primary School, Ekwuoma and Ibili Primary School, Idumuesah.

The school resumption education materials distribution exercise to primary schools in Ika North East started two years ago by Hon(Barr) Marilyn Okowa Daramola whose vision and dream is promoting and uplift the standard of education in her Constituency, particularly at the elementary level. She has since her inauguration in 2023 as a Lawmaker been very committed to fulfilling her campaign promises to her constituents. One of the areas she has achieved excellent results is education, a development that have been applauded by the people of Ika North East.


She assured the exercise will be sustained to meet a targeted goal of reaching all primary schools in Ika North East.


She has used the medium to enjoin parents to reciprocate the effort by taking the education of their children seriously. In the same vein, school teachers were advised to keep on with the good works they are doing in the molding of the pupils.


The jubilating pupils as well as their teachers took turns to appreciate Hon. (Mrs.) Okowa-Daramola, praying and wishing her more fruitful years in office in good health and wisdom.


She was joined in the distribution exercise by Chief(Mrs) Mary Agbogwe, Hon Joy Egbulem, Vice Chairman, Ika North East Local Government, Comrade Kingsley Beye, Hon Blessing Emefiele, Mrs Meg Igbodo, Hon Roseline Okolie, among others.
