Following the viral video in which Regina Daniels, Senator Ned Nwoko‘s sixth wife, accused him of domestic violence, the senator has addressed the issue on his official social media, offering his side of the story and revealing further details about the situation.
In his statement, Senator Nwoko described the incident as “Regina’s unprovoked rampage” in his absence. He went on to suggest that her ongoing struggles with substance abuse—namely alcohol and drugs—were at the heart of their marital issues.
“Regina has not always been like this,” Nwoko wrote, explaining that her behavior had drastically changed due to her battle with addiction. He emphasized that measures were being taken to help her, saying, “She must continue with her rehabilitation program.” This statement suggested that her substance abuse had already been a known issue before the recent incident.
Nwoko explained, “A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon to the hospital, but instead, she threatened to kill our resident nurse for exposing her drug use,” he stated. According to Nwoko, the chaos erupted when he took their son to the hospital, during which Regina allegedly slapped and hit three staff members, as well as damaged property, including cars and windows.”
In his post, the senator reiterated his position on the matter: “Regina’s current issues with alcohol and drug abuse are at the core of our problems.” He expressed concern for her well-being, saying, “She must continue her rehab, or I fear for her life and safety.” Nwoko also claimed that Regina’s new living arrangements would grant her unfettered access to drugs, which he feared would only worsen her condition.
He pointed out that while he had other wives, none had accused him of violence. “Regina is the violent one here,” he declared, citing recent incidents where she allegedly assaulted staff and destroyed property without cause.
In his statement, Senator Nwoko disclosed that he had set a condition for Regina to undergo rehabilitation, either in Asokoro or abroad in places like Jordan, where she would be cut off from access to drugs.
Nwoko also mentioned two individuals he claimed were involved in enabling Regina’s drug abuse. “While I was at the hospital with Moon, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is a woman named Ann, whom I’ve described as a ‘tiny evil devil.'”
