Prominent community leader, philanthropist, and youth advocate, Mr. Kaikenechukwu Okolie, has been honored with the Ukwu-Nzu Development Union (UDU) Youth Wing Award of Honour in recognition of his unwavering support and generosity toward the community, its youth, and beyond.
The award was presented by the UDU Youth Wing President, Comr. Emmanuel Afakwu, emphasizing that the selflessness of individuals like Mr. Okolie cannot be overlooked.
He explained that the award was a way to commend and appreciate him for his relentless philanthropy, which has positively impacted many, both within and outside the community.
Comr. Afakwu highlighted several of Mr. Okolie’s notable contributions, including his donation of one million Naira towards the ongoing construction of the community entrance gate, also highlighting how he single-handedly sponsored last year’s annual football tournament.
Additionally, Comr. Afakwu revealed that many community members have secured employment, courtesy of Mr. Okolie’s efforts, aside his routine nature of distributing rice and other packages to youths, men and women.
The Youth Wing President urged Mr. Okolie to continue on his noble path while calling on other members of the community to emulate his exemplary actions.
In his response, Mr. Okolie expressed his gratitude for the recognition. “I am deeply honored to receive this award,” he said. “I truly appreciate the youths for deeming me worthy. The reward for good work is more work, and I assure you that I will not relent.”
