- Says, a man who defies the norm in a world where connections trump character

In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, Rejoice Ebikaibowei, a graduate of Public Administration from Delta State University, Abraka, and an indigene of Gbaramatu in Warri South West LGA, has lauded the benevolence of philanthropist Patriot Dantes Odogwu, describing him as a rare gem and a selfless man in a world where connections too often overshadow compassion and character.
Rejoice, whose mother was critically ill and in urgent need of surgery, told Ika Mirror that her family’s financial pleas had largely gone unheard, having reached out to a number of persons she considered to be helpful among her tribes’ men and politicians, but was turned down until she reached out to Patriot Dantes.
She further added that while some kept her in view, some never replied her messages and calls further, but noted that, “Getting to see our case and plea, Patriot Dantes responded by asking us to contact his boy, Inari Desmond for immediate assistance and they followed up till we were discharged.
Narrating her experience, she said: “I got to know Patriots Dantes Odogwu through Inari Desmond, who always posts about his humanitarian works. I became interested in his Every Little Helps Foundation and started following his activities on Facebook. The countless testimonies of strangers he had helped inspired me to reach out.”
“I wrote to Inari Desmond, asking him to help speak to his boss, Patriot Dantes. At first, my messages were read but not replied to. I had lost hope. But suddenly, he responded, asked for account details, and within a short time, we were credited with enough to carry out the surgery.”
Rejoice described the gesture as nothing short of miraculous. She emphasized that neither she nor any member of her family had ever met Patriot Dantes in person, yet his willingness to help spoke volumes about his integrity and compassion.
According to her, “Patriot Dantes is a rare gem; a good man who defies the norm in a world where connections often trump character. Despite never meeting him, his actions speak volumes about his integrity and kindness.”
Continuing, she said: “To be honest, Patriot Dantes a good man in all standard. His kind are in scares supply. Someone I don’t even know. Till date, I haven’t met him neither his boy, Desmond Inari, but he gave us reasons to believe that good people still exists in this wicked world where everything is got by connection or something in return. In all sincerity, Dantes is detribalized.”
Rejoice further disclosed that the successful surgery, which according to her, was made possible by the support of Patriot Dantes, was a turning point for her family, nothing that her mother, who had a thyroid condition, is now recovering well after a successful procedure.
She therefore called on privileged individuals in society to emulate Patriot Dantes Odogwu’s example of unbiased and boundless generosity.
In her words: “Patriot Dantes sets a powerful example with his boundless, unbiased philanthropy that true wealth lies in making meaningful impact on others’ lives, especially the less fortunate. Others should take a cue from him to make the world a better place for both the poor and the rich to live.”
She concluded by giving thanks to God for the success of the surgery and prayed for continued blessings upon Patriot Dantes Odogwu and all those who support humanitarian causes without seeking recognitions.
