A socialite and community leader, Mr Jude Uwadia, popularly known as, Chillis has expressed appreciation to the Chairman Governing Board, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Chiedu Ebie, Esq. as members of Ika All Stars Football Club received quality outing jerseys on Saturday, July 12.
Chilis, during his official presentation of the jerseys shortly after the Club’s 1-1 draw with Like Minds All Stars Football Club at the Agbor Township Stadium, Agbor, said that the gesture was part of Ebie ‘s support for sports development in Ika Land.
He noted that the GCON customized jerseys were specially designed to encourage the players to remain good ambassadors of the Club.
He stated that Ebie, as a selfless Nigerian, is strongly committed to efforts aimed at moving Ika Land, the Niger Delta and Nigeria in general forward.
“We are proud and happy with the impactful leadership of Chiedu Ebie. We will continue to pray for him because he is performing excellently well in office,” Chillis declared.
The President, Ika All Stars, Mr Otumunye Isioma Lucky, also known as, GABAZE, on behalf of the Club expressed gratitude to Ebie for identifying with them. He thanked Chillis who is the Vice President of the Club for honouring Ebie with the provision of the jerseys. He said that the Club will remain grateful to Ebie for the gesture.
The Technical Manager, Ika All Stars, Coach Lucky Sunday Nkeki, in his response said that Ebie has been an outstanding and visionary leader whose achievements for his people is legendary. He urged the NDDC Boss to keep the flag flying as they are not going to renege in their supports and prayers for him.
High points of the event were the distribution of the outing jerseys to members of the Club, including its Patron, Dr Donald Peterson and taking of group photographs.
