In a wave of excitement and gratitude, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ika Federal Constituency and Chief Executive Officer of Prince Paradise Global Concept (PPGC), Comrade Prince Emmanuel Okonye, has heartily commended the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the recent approval of a long-anticipated flyover project at Uromi Junction in Agbor.

The project, reportedly valued at ₦59 billion, is to be executed by the renowned construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc—a move widely seen as a strong commitment to quality infrastructure and modernization in the region.
In a statement made available to the press at the wake of the flyover project announcement during Delta State Executive Meeting presided over by Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Comr. Okonye described the governor’s gesture as “bold, visionary, and people-centered,” adding that the flyover, once completed, will revolutionize both traffic flow and economic dynamics within Agbor and neighboring communities.

“This flyover will not only decongest the ever-busy Uromi Junction but will also open up Agbor to increased investment opportunities and ease of transportation. It’s a huge leap toward economic transformation,” Comr. Okonye said.

He emphasized that the strategic location of the junction makes the project a game-changer for the area, noting that the initiative would improve mobility, boost local commerce, and enhance safety for commuters and pedestrians alike.

“Our people have waited so long for this. With this approval and the involvement of a trusted construction firm like Julius Berger, it is clear that Governor Oborevwori is committed to delivering legacy projects that will stand the test of time,” he added.

Comr. Okonye also acknowledged that the governor’s decision has earned him deep respect from the people of Ika land and beyond. He noted that such a monumental project has the potential to etch Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s name in the hearts of the people for generations to come.

“Governor Sheriff has demonstrated true leadership and a passion for infrastructure development. This project will forever speak of his love for Ika people and Delta State at large,” he remarked.

The PPGC boss further urged Deltans from all walks of life to rally behind the Governor’s MORE Agenda, which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security. According to him, the success of such bold projects depends heavily on the collective support and cooperation of the citizens.

“Let us all support the MORE Agenda so that Governor Sheriff can do even more. This is just the beginning of greater things to come,” he concluded.

The flyover project is expected to commence soon, marking yet another milestone in Delta State’s journey toward infrastructural excellence and urban transformation.
