Pandemonium struck in Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday, October 26, 2023 as angry mobs and the police laid a manhunt on a homosexual (gay) suspect.
The suspect identified as Ijeoma Kelvin Dennis was allegedly caught pants down while having intercourse with his partner, also identified as Buzugbe Emeka.
Ijeoma homosexual activity was exposed when he was caught by a resident while indulging in the unholy act in his partner resident on the evening of the aforementioned date.
Information gathered revealed that Ijeoma was making out with his gay partner, unknowing to them that the windows were unlocked, from which a resident in the community who was passing by saw them and subsequently raised the alarm that exposed their unholy act.
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity further disclosed that the passerby, whose name was undisclosed, heard loud moaning through the window and suspected that something was fishy, adding that he (passer-by) climbed the wall and saw Ijeoma having sexual intercourse with his partner.
“The alarm attracted the attention of the angry youths of the community that apprehended both Ijeoma and his partner (Emeka), who unfortunately lost his life from the serious beating they got while Ijeoma narrowly escaped.
Meanwhile, Ijeoma’s father, Mr. Andrew Dennis, on hearing the news of his son’s crime, collapsed, knowing that Ijeoma’s crime is prohibited in Agbor and attracts death penalty by way of the custom and tradition of the land, and 14 years imprisonment by the constitutional law of Nigeria.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said Ijeoma had taken to his heels while the remains of Buzugbe had been deposited at the hospital morgue.
He also disclosed that a bounty has been placed on Ijeoma to enable him to face the full wrath of the law for his crime.
As at the time of filing this report, Ijeoma’s whereabouts have remained unknown, as he was said to have fled the community.
