The Nigeria Police, Delta State Command has declared one Ogbuehi Williams Mario wanted over alleged involvement in same-sex practice.
This was disclosed in a public notice issued by the State Public Relations Officer on Monday, June 24, 2024.
According to the statement, the suspect is being wanted in connection with an alleged Same-sex gathering that took place at a hotel in Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
It further explained that the operation by the police was carried out based on credible intelligence regarding the activities considered to be in violation of extant laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, adding that Ogbuehi who is now at large, was identified as one of the key suspects.
Consequently, the Command has urged members of the public with useful information regarding the whereabouts of the wanted person, to report to the nearest police station or the Commissioner of Police, adding that handsome reward awaits any person(s) with information leading to his arrest.
Meanwhile, the police command reiterated its commitment to uphold the rule of law and maintaining public order across the State and beyond.
